Boarding and Grooming

Your pet is always welcome to stay with us at Cherokee Animal Clinic. Our full-service boarding facility features separate accommodations for cats and dogs, both in a temperature controlled environment. We are proud to offer your pet a safe, comfortable place to stay.

All dogs staying with us are walked daily outdoors (weather permitting) and are allowed to use the indoor runs for bathroom breaks. Water is provided according to your instructions. We feed all guests Science Diet foods unless a specific diet is needed, which you are welcome to bring.

Our boarding guests are monitored throughout the day by our caring kennel staff. A veterinarian also checks on all pets in the kennel daily. Every canine guest staying with us receives a special "TLC Package," which includes a nail trim before returning home and a complimentary bath the weekday of release. Dogs not on a restrictive diet also receive daily CET Chews to help pass the time.

We give all pets staying with us plenty of love and attention. For an additional fee, a staff member will "play" with your pet exclusively, doing an activity that you have specified, such as playing ball, brushing his or her coat, or taking an extra long walk. All dogs also receive complimentary Capstar flea treatment tablets on admission and the morning of their release.

All boarding guests must be up-to-date on their vaccinations before staying with us. If your pet is not current with his or her vaccinations, we can provide the vaccination upon admission. Our kennel fills up fast and so reservations are required for your pet to stay with us. Please call us at 913-649-0440 to make a reservation or inquire about pricing.

Your dog or cat will look and feel great following a grooming session at Cherokee Animal Clinic! We have a professional dog groomer and a professional cat groomer on staff throughout the week for grooming appointments.

Our groomers can cut and style your pet's coat in accordance with breed standards or based on your own stylistic choices. Our cat groomer is available to perform "lion cut" shavedowns for all breeds.

A typical grooming session includes a cleansing bath, a nail trim, a coat trim, ear cleaning and coat styling, among other procedures. Grooming sessions are conducted Monday through Friday; you may drop your pet off in the morning and pick him or her up at the end of the day. Reservations are required. Please call us at 913-649-0440 for pricing information or to schedule an appointment.
